This is a wonderful machine, purchased based on the glowing reviews by Which? magazine. There are several different drying options, and the anticipated drying time, and maximum loads, are helpfully displayed on the control panel. There are a number of energy saving opportunities such as heat pump technology and an ECO drying option, so in theory, we should be saving loads of money. In practice though, we probably aren't as we have discovered that tee shirts are wonderfully soft when dried in this machine compared with drying them on a rack, as we used to do! The same applies with bed linen as there is a special program for that purpose, and the cotton sheets are again comfortably soft and almost crease free. The drier comes complete with a drainpipe and adapter so, if this is plumbed in, the water distilled during the drying process is automatically drained away. Unfortunately, the location of our drier, which is between the washing machine and a fridge, prevents us from using the drain pipe as you need to leave a loop of the pipe dangling in order that the machine can be pulled forward for servicing. As the loop is then too deep to effectively pump the water out we have had to use the water container. This works fine and emptying it after each use of the drier is easy. Interestingly, I initially found it a bit fiddly to empty the container until I realised that the plastic rim around the hole where the water can be emptied is not a sort of seal, as I first thought, but is actually the top of a spout and simply pulling it up makes it much easier to empty the container! I have had a quick but unsuccessful attempt to connect the drier to the Internet, probably due to the signal not being strong enough to reach the laundry room. I may try it again with a wi-fi extender, but can't really think of a situation when I would need to operate the drier remotely. In summary, this is a brilliant machine and we are very impressed with it. Worth every penny!
